Terms of use

The rules that apply to your use of HuisPunte. Your residence's own rules sit on top of these and are set by your own leaders.

What HuisPunte is

HuisPunte records residence events, attendance and points on behalf of your residence. Your residence’s own leaders decide the rules, the categories and the values. The HuisPunte operator verifies residences and resolves leadership disputes; it does not run your points.

Your account

You need a valid Stellenbosch University e-mail address, and you may belong to one residence at a time. Keep your details accurate - your room and section decide what you are invited to.

Fair use

Do not scan on someone else’s behalf, share attendance codes outside an event, or try to record attendance you did not earn. Scans are logged and unusual patterns are flagged to your leaders.

Points

Points are a residence matter. If you believe an entry is wrong, raise it with your leaders - entries are corrected by a visible reversal, never deleted.

Ending your use

You may stop using HuisPunte at any time and ask for your account to be deactivated. Your point history is archived rather than destroyed, so that a closed period can still be audited by the residence it belongs to.
